Prejudice aside and enjoy it, this stuff is amazing

The World… it is big, there are so many people that contribute to the celestial texture with their art, not just living -> dying, we actually have to thank these individuals for walking that extra mile for us. God (oh yes, we have an interview with him as well) is a solo project, the dude found us in the beginning, absolutely great musician and he writes music about God, it djents, it is interesting, it is ephemeral. We cannot go on and not appreciate this en devour, I don’t care if you are atheist or you consider religious motives in music for something you should pass by… don’t, don’t pass it by and play God II, stay with it, enjoy it, it is so uplifting.

Listen here:

God II is a step forward from the previous album

Ok, I won’t hide it, I am not religious, I worship only the lit vibe, and here it is plenty. Making music about God and making it prog, and making it chug, well that is something, right? You won’t be able to say no to what God has to offer and I assure you, this record is bold, it has aggressive tunes as well “Obey” is one of them, it has that crazy feel inside of it.

Well, the melodic lines prevail, polyrhythms as well, but the chugs, man, listening to such music with chugs, knowing the concept answers a lot of questions that you may have about the artist’s motives. It is not John Travolta’s Scientologist bullshit, no laa dee daa stuff, here you will find a dark side as well, it has some harsh moments and I always appreciate diversity.

Technically the album is amazing, there are a lot of riffs and interesting chord progressions and the ambient layers in the back have a lot of Pink Floyd influence, but with a more modern approach. And the topics, well, we have songs like “Death“, “Crucified“, which are kick ass, you can feel the Meshuggah meeting Dream Theater and coming back to Opeth, what a ride!

I wish more people would express their love, dedication, worship in such a way, here we have character and a feel for aesthetics, musical aesthetics, a beautiful record.

God‘s previous album:

Sound and Production:

God has achieved a good balance for the sound he produces, you see, it has a chuggy nature, but still the ambient layers sound fantastic. I think the drums were programmed, but they fit in the mix with ease. I can’t say that the guitars are not the main focus here, but the bass in the back is to be heard, it is mild and adds up to the overall vibe, managing to fill the body of the sound. As a whole that is some good production there, I admire the effort and the clarity is fantastic.

God II is a good album, it has it’s own character, concept and idea, it may not be everybody’s cup of tea taking in regards what is the motive behind the music and if that stands against your views and you don’t appreciate that piece of art… you have my judge.
